Got the house rental this year for another OBX trip. Going in April, staying at Carova Beach this year, close to the VA line. Planning on hiking in False Cape State Park. I can't wait!

I love OBX. Carova is via beach access only, right? Click on my '00 JGC link in my sig. That pic is from last May...

Carova is 4x4 acces only, but that never stops minivans and AWD subarus from getting stuck

Just reserved our house also for Labor Day week. Going to be down in Waves again. To bad I liked it up in Carova better, I could go out and play in the sand, and the wife couldn't spend any money!

Filthy don't forget the 2x4 SUV's, and I quote as I'm hooking up my tow strap
" But it's an SUV, I don't understand"
me- "You only have the 2 wheel drive version",
" But it's an SUV"!!

We have our "usual" house over in Collington Harbor the last week of August so the boat and SeaDoos can stay in the water the whole time. But we usually take a day or two during our stay to ride north on the sound side, while someone else takes the trucks up 12 to near the state line. Then we meet on the sound side for some wheelin' and skiing. It would be quicker to go south and meet on the other side of Oregon Inlet, but you can't beach the 'Doos there because it is a NWR.

Hope other guys here or over on TTORA will be there at the same time so we can meet up.

Beach access only is the only way to stay at the banks. I think Carova is about an 8 mile drive up the beach, maybe 10, can't remember for sure. I know at night it seems like it takes forever to get from Corolla to Carova. Nice pic of the Jeep; I've got several very similar pics from the previous trips we've made.

These are the same idiots that buy them for the snow and get in accidents.
