On a personal note. I backed in to a tree real hard a few weeks ago on a fire road near Taylor Res. Silly mistake.
Pretty heavy body damage. Insurance claim, the whole nine yards.

Oleg has been working on and it is supposed to finished Wed. He is a new friend of mine I met in the Rising Sun Club this Summer. He has a body shop and numerous 4 Runners and parts. A valuable resource. He will be coming to the Jambo in his FZJ80.

The good news is that on Thursday I am scheduled to finally get my Rockware rear bumper fabbed in Colo. Springs. Then I'm off to the Jam. Wish me luck. (My wife and kids will join me later on Saturday.

Hmmm...

Insurance claim = Rockware bumper

Good Idea!

Scott, who was driving, Stevie Wonder?

How are you going to get a Rockware in a day?

I am still waiting on a phone call, but I hope like hell that I am sitting around a fire drinking beer with y'all tomorrow night.

We should be at the trail at 9:30. If you meet us there, you won't need to leave until 7:00 or so. (Mapquest it from your house to Alma, CO, and then add about 20 minutes to be safe.)

Because I'm not having him do a tire carrier. Matt doesn't see one day as problem. I decided to stick my spare underneath. I can always move it into the cargo area for difficult runs.

So, Cheese, what's it gonna be? Are you gonna be on the plane or not?

Wait much longer and you're going to have to go supersonic!

Scott,
I hope you get the rock ware on in time..I sooo want to check it out. I've always liked the others I've seen on the trail but I don't want the tire carrier either. The spare underneath makes for a great bumper coming off vertical ledges. I figure now that I've pulled the hitch off I'm due for some rock lovin in the near future and in the market for some significant steel shortly after.

See all of you up there. I'm super jealous that I can't leave 'till Friday night. Try not to flaten all the trails before I get there.

Sorry. I know for a fact that I won't be able to make Holy Cross on Friday. I'll be working and then heading up afterwords. See y'all that night though.

The site right next to us is tentatively reserved for us, and I suspect we're going to need it. It is likely those that arrive latest are going to have to bring their stuff in and then park their truck at the campground entrance. They say there is only room for about 12 vehicles at site T12, and I'm not sure how many in T11. I forget how many trucks we crammed in last year; I don't remember anyone having to park at the entrance. But we may have to this year.

I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know if I'll drive back again...

The day starts tomorrow at 3:30 a.m, should put me at the shop around 9 for opening and nap time while they wrap the winch and links. Should be in camp for supper if all goes well.

Scott, I will not have any good Wisconsin beer since I am using all of my luggage space for camping gear and clothes, but I plan to pick up some good Colorado beer to have at the fire. Good call on going carrierless, I look forward to seeing it.

See y'all tomorrow.

I had Oleg dig out that corner cap for me and when I looked at I remembered the two golf ball size dings in the corner. I'm thinking you don't want that. So I left it.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Okay, this is probably my last entry before the event. If anyone hasn't yet paid (95% of you have, thank you!), please arrive prepared to pay cash. At this point, it wouldn't be good to use PayPal or a check because I would have no way of verifying that we received your payment.

I'll see you all in a day or two! :rockband:
