We will have something for everyone.

I am thinking we should narrow this down to July 4th weekend. The 4th is my birthday!

You think we can finally organize and pull off a NM Jambo? I'm game and can help however, Jim. It's not snowing around here this winter, so let's go out and "pre-run" some stuff...We should have a pow-wow (maybe at Steve's) and talk about this.

hokiruu - we will keep you posted next time we go out,e ven if you just want to ride along.

awesome. i'm in! sorry if this is a little off topic but i've been seeing some pretty serious toyota rigs around santa fe and am wondering if they might be members. one is a green third gen 4runner with SAS, red diff covers, looks like 35s, pretty damn tall. driver appeared to be in his early 30s with dark brown hair. pretty tight rig. sound familiar? just thought i'd check since it's a pretty small world here in NM.

Yeah, that's SteveO on here, he has lots of threads about his build-up. That's a pretty good description except for two things, he's rolling on 37s and he's a year or two past his "early 30s"...LOL!

LOL

yeah, I'm getting pretty close to the underside of 40 now.....sheesh, where did the time go?

hokiruu, yup, that was me. I take it out once in a while to charge the batteries. But, most of the time, its at home.....parked. Sometimes I hear people honk, bust most of the time people are rubber necking it to get a look at the front suspension, as this is not your normal ride. And then, if the wife is driving it, (she always has stories) she really gets the looks from the guys.

Hokiruu, being that you live in Santa Fe, I can take you out to the tank trap and let you wheel the pee out of your rig. The Tank Trap is a great place to either test your rig, or roll it, depending on how bad you want to modify your rig. Jim and I almost mangled my sheet metal some time ago at the tank trap. To say the least, I was sucked up the the leather seats. Pretty scary.

So, anyway, it would be great if the Toyota group here in NM could get something going for this summer.....

OK, seriously I am thinking about the time around my birthday July 4th weekend. Wheelin', camping, etc...

I bet I could get some others to travel this way. I know Schaefer wants to come out and run Tank Trap.

That would sound good to me, That is the most likely weekend that I am looking to go out there. Like I said no concrete plans yet, but when I go out I am like 75% sure it would be over the 4th. Thanks,
Jason

Haha I knew someone could tell me who that is. SteveO, thanks for coming to the surface! I'd love to meet you and check out your rig as well as some spots.
4th of July could be a blast. With the lack of snow this year we're gonna have to be careful with fireworks and whatnot.

The New Mexico Virutal jeep Club.....I'm not.
There is NM TTORA, NM4W.org, Sandia Jeep Club (Based in Santa Fe, I think), and then Yotatech, of course.
