Mendo. National Forest/Stonyford Run 4/8-4/10
#1
Hey all,
A friend and I are going to Mendocino National Forest on April 8-10. We're planning on Leaving Walnut Creek, CA at 2pm on Thursday the 8th. We're going to the trailhead at Davis flats and will be camping there for the 2 nights that we're there. Check out http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/mendocino/recreation/camping/ for more info.
And check out
http://www.ncdra.com/dirstonyford.html for directions.
As far as camping and food, it’s bring your own stuff... We're poor and don't have extra crap lying around. The campsite is $0 (FREE!) and has access to like 4 different OHV areas. We're calling the ranger station tomorrow to see about maps and crap.
The only thing we're missing now is about 1-3 more rigs who want to wheel with us. That's where you all come in! If you're free, please let me know and I'll count you in and tell you where were going to meet up. Cell phone's and a CB are a plus.
So ideally I'd like to get one or two or maybe three more rigs.... maybe one with a winch? We're not looking to run anything life threatening.... but there is one restriction: NO ALCOHOL!!! None at all! Thanks.
Please let me know soon!!!!
Happy Wheeling!

I'll post as many as I can take
Sorry about the short notice, but my friend thought we had enough people ready and willing to come with us - they all bailed. My uncle was more than happy to join us though. Should be a fun trip. I can't wait to get my 4Runner out on the trails... as soon as this engine rebuild is done i'll be ready to roll!

Well, If anyone decides they want to come wheel with us PM me for my cell phone number. Or just check out the directions I posted in the first post.....
This is my friends jeep in case you want to yell at us if you're out there!

Happy Trails,
Steve
