Im still going, even if it means multiple all-nighters on the truck. And of course the tow rig isnt right so i have no choise but to have it driveable. Right now the truck is on jackstands, i hope my parts get here in time. If not im robbing parts from the K5 and letting it sit on stands.

 

where are you guys staying, or are you driving up and back same day?

 

make reservations if you are looking to get a hotel. I went up expecting to get a room at the "historic inn"...they were booked solid (spent a horrible night in mcdonalds parking lot). There are only 3 hotels (more like biger bed and breakfast) in the area...

My XJ buddy backed out. There's a Jeep Jamboree happening this weekend in Missouri (the scene of my dent actually).

I'm probably closer to 50/50 at this point in all actuality. I had to buy a new battery this week (so I went bling bling Optima yellow) and that has tapped gas funds, as I have to drive to Tellico in a few weeks, and then two weeks after that, I have to drive back to NC again for a wedding.

The numbers have dwindled considerably haven't they? We all suck.

 

well, sorry gang, I'm officially pussing out. I came home after work today to find that some pretty big branches off a tree in my backyard were on my roof.

They didn't cause any damage, but my wife doesn't like the idea of my leaving them on our porch for the next week, so cutting them up as been added to my weekend agenda.

I hope that I'll see some of you in Tellico as that's not something I'll be missing.

I wont be there either, and im pissed about it to say the least. If UPS lost my package im gonna kick some ass. Its hard to wheel without bushings in your leaf springs or u-bolts . At least the brakes are fixed.

 

wow .. I've never seen an entire group back out .. usually just one or two.

Not picking on anybody .. everyone has their reasons .. but almost the whoe group is out or "iffy"

I wont make it, they decided to schedual another 2 people off of work tonight(they wouldn't let me off but they can let other people off ) , so we have hardly anyone there to work, not to mention the job that I might have been able to get out of at the end of the night, my partner isn't there so I have to stay and do it. No way I'm getting out early

I wont be there. I just burned up my last grinding disc.* And since i stole parts from the K5 to get the toyota working, that isnt driveable to get me to the store to get more discs.



*note: Never buy Ace hardware grinding discs. They break easily, and when they do stay together, they burn up real fast. Stay away from these griding discs.
