well, the 4runner is in the driveway with the entire interior stripped out of it. inside is dry now. going to work on the carpets tomorrow.

had some serious tranny issues on the way back. it either doesn't want to go into gear at all, would get stuck in a gear (3rd or 4th) or oddly somehow be stuck like halfway in first. i barely made it home. i am thinking that its an electrical problem that the water caused or something. i will try it tomorrow night after i get some seats put back into it and see how it is, otherwise i will take it into the dealer this week.

ish, i hope your tranny is fine, check ALL the fuses even the ones inside the cab. i had a problem with my explorer once and the speddo would flip out an work sometimes but the fuse would be blown. it was really weird!! i bet there is a blown fuse somewhere....hopefully the ECU isnt messed up!!! dont forget to change all the fluids also, tranny transfer, front and rear diffs.....front diff is the hardest to do....

Hope your truck feels better tomorrow. I hope it is just some eletrical connection that is wet. Good time to put some synthetic fluids in your diffs and transfer case, probbly a good time to flush the tranny as well and she should be as good as new. Check if the ATF is still nice and pink, it might have gobbled some water in the tranny that might be causing your issues now. SO maybe just a flush would cure it. Good luck, next time we should check how deep it is first.
