Your a little over 6 hours away from Flag. All I need is a conformation when the date gets closer-
Camping opportunities:
The Bellemont Exit west of Flag has primitive camping areas available- turn to the north, take the access road to the west and turn north at the cattle guard a 1/4 mile down the pavement. Head north a few miles off the interstate-
A-1 Mountain Road- the next exit east of Bellemont also has forest access to the north-
I suspect nightime lows will be in the 20's to low 30's, it's been about 35 or so up there this last week.
Flag also has TONS of motels

I'm afraid you'll be a bit dissapointed w the Aspens vs. what your used to in the Rockies, but it's still a fun trip. If the air is clear, the veiws from 11,500 are pretty impressive--

Wow, great idea. My wife and I will see you guys at Arby's at 9am!
Pardon my ignorance but are handhelds (talkabouts) the same channel 4 as a CB channel 4? I dont think so, but I thought I would ask.

I'll be monitoring CB channel 4 on a hand held with limited range- and on FSR channel 4.00

Called the lodge today THE COLORS ARE CLOSE TO THEIR PEAK
09 Oct- Updated forcast for Oct 11, Partly Cloudy w/ Isolated T-Storms 66°/39° 30% Precip
This is for 7200', we will be at 9500' at the lodge, and 11,500 at the top of the lift, so it will be cooler, and there is a chance of showers so come prepared! I'd suggest a rain coat and coat, maybe gloves!
