Jon, look on www.mrjim.net
Jim has some of my vids there as well as Mike's.
Look for Jim's Greenwater wirte-up.

Until my page cools down for awhile, it's going to stay dead.
I can't get on it right now.

Mike may have the same problem as we have the same web host for our pages.
Mike's vid should be linked here on the first page, but Jim also has it on his site.

Air Nissan Video

My server is still going strong...

http://www.wattora.com/rob_work/airnissan1.wmv

Although it's amazing where this video has gone already. I am getting hits from all over the world, from a variety of hosts.

Hey Corey,
Problem sounds familar. Remember when I posted the last run with Rob, Gene, Grapeape, and myself on those hill climbs. You advised that the resolution on my pics were too high.
It was definitely the vids that did it.

I called Feature Price but the online support didn't know jack. I asked him to take a look at my stats and he advised that I was reaching the max traffic limit.

I moved those vids to my ATT account so it wouldn't affect my main site.

Im going to load the original AirNissan vid and Gibby's vid to see how much it screws up my site. I want them to observe the problem while it is actually happening. With my luck they won't be working because of Veterans Day.

Hey Rob. The Tahuya run may be a go for me. How knarly is the run?

What Tahuya run??? Tahuya is anything but knarly. If it's very wet and/or snowy it would be fun. Tahuya is wide and pretty straight forward. There are a few hill climbs that you can play on. We ran Tahuya a few weeks ago. I only needed to even use 4wd when I was testing on some of the hills, going across paths etc.

I would love to run Tahuya in the winter after a snow storm!

Hi Mike, I was on hold for about 10 minutes with tech earlier tonight, but I gave up.

I'll call them in the morning and bitch at them.
They claim you can use their service fro pics, MP3s, anything as long as it's not porn.

I know it is the vids doing it.
I have unlimited storage for free with the www.toyotaoffroad.net server, but the owner frowns upon vids.

He actually shut down Jason, Adam, and I a few months back for about a week because of the heavy traffic from MP3 and vids.

Feature Price better have an answer for me tomorrow.
I'm not going to pull up roots and move, I have too much invested with them now.

I probably have at least 500 mb and over 120 web pages hosted there now.

Hi Everyone

Mr Jim Dot Net Mr Jim

Hi guys and gals,

I am also wondering where the "other" video went from the first jump. There is one that shows the Pathfinder from the side at a wider angle so that you can see the rise, arch, and landing clearly. I guess I am also confused as to who it was that had taken that one. I would really love to see it again.

If you need to look for a new Web host, I might suggest my host http://www.needa.com that I have been with since 1996. They have really good service and bandwidth, plus they have good pricing. They charge $24? per mo for site with unlimited bandwidth and no limit on amount of data that you want to put on the servers. I have rarely had problems in the 7 years I have been with them and I have several Websites. www.mrjim.net has a ton of data on it and I got a lot of hits on it with no problems. There has been 15,000 in the 6 mos. Just an FYI.

I could not think of anyplace I would have rather been on Saturday than out their with you all. I would normally have been the last one to go, but the tree did take a little fight out of me for a bit and Judy was not feeling good all day. She has that flu that is going around. I have to give her credit. She is not a fan of off-roading (okay look who she is married to) and she went anyway with me for the day. I figured I would take my toys and go home when she asked to go. This little episode pulled her in some though. She has been on the net everytime I turn around looking for new photos and videos. I finally got my personal photos and videos onto my page last night at www.mrjim.net for you all to view. Sorry I did not have more videos, but my camcorder came out late and yes Judy shot a lot of footage WITH THE LENSE CAP ON. I have great coverage of the audio though
You gotta love her. She is blonde...

Web host

Hey guys and gals. If you're interested in a web site, keep us in mind. As I said before, I have 2 dedicated web servers. We are only going to charge $20/month with unlimited space. These servers run on 640K DSL lines and I have about 60MB of free space right now. We can handle domain name registration for you as well.

As I said, it's only a small sideline for us, and the server is dedicated to offroad sites and our church web site.

If you want to test performance, www.upndair.com. These pics are high res high memory pics.

Gibby,

It sounds like you offer a pretty good Web package. Mine is on the East coast so I am sure that locals would rather stay with local servers.

Hey "Air" or Jim as you are normally called,

La has that footage. I have yet to get it from him so I can post it. Richele shot alot of footage of the trip. She was standing on the hill a little farther back so she has a really good angle of lift off, leveling off in flight, and landing on all four wheels (which I was very impressed with).

I'll post as soon as I receive it.

That Video

Mr Jim Dot Net Jim Bennett

That is the one that I can't wait to see. I would really like to get a VHS copy of it too. Maybe you could ask them how we could hook up for that when you speak to them again. As soon as you post it on your Web, I will copy it to my server too.

Yea. Thats definitely a keeper alright.

LA and RA also have one of Gibby going up the steep part of the short hill in reverse. His back end was straight up in the air. We thought he was definitely rolling over.

Gibby

That rig of Gibby's is definitely a world class rig. I have several photos and videos on my site of him playing on that last hill at the gravel pits. It looked like a tanks cruising through that stuff.

Heres one of Gibby testing out his new front end consisting of solid axle and new ARB lockers.

I must say, his articulation as improved a bit.

Also picking some camera time is AirBill as he proves he can scale this hill.

My site has also been updated . Fall Colors Run.
Enjoy.

Jim, Dale, my plan with Feature Price is called the Budget plan for $10 a month which they charge you $120 at once per year.
http://www.featureprice.com/?c=2&p=7

They do have an updated account called the Platinum one which sounds like the one Jim mentioned with the other outfit.
It goes for $24.95 per month which is around $300 annually.
http://www.featureprice.com/?c=2&p=6

They have an in between one that gives you 5 gb, but I bet the bandwidth is no higher than what I have now.
http://www.featureprice.com/?c=2&p=5

They wrote back to me during the night.
Here is what he had to say:
Hello Corey,
You will be allowed to use about 15 gb of bandwidth a month but then do note that your bandwidth is throttled to about 21mb / hour and if your bandwidth usage is more then you can get an additional 15 gb of bandwidth a month for $300 / annum.
Let me know if you would like to get the additional bandwidth.
So with all the vids I had up, it was going over.
I'm not about to pay the higher price right now though.
I'll just have to take the vids down if it comes to it.

Mike, it sounds like you have upgraded then to the Platinum package?
If I was back to work at Boeing right now, I'd jump on it in a heart beat.

Yeah, I'll just stay with them now. I have to much time involved putting up all my stuff, and some of it also points to my dedicated IP address with them before I was using my domain name.
It would be a nightmare to move all my stuff.

Corey

Well, I hated to do it, but I had to take all my vids down except for 3 that I have linked to a few posts around the 'Net.

Even though I took the vid links off of page II of the trip report, someone(s) was going in the back way to my site and still getting the vids.

The supply and demand is shutting down my site, so I had no choice but to take them off for now.
