No Alan, you may not tag along. We should go our separate ways for once.
Ha! Just kidding! Absolutely.
As for the dinner, I'm open to anyplace and I'll leave that up to everyone else to decide where. I think I'll PM all the CO folks again in case they don't see this thread. I hope to at least have a good turn out for the dinner.
I think we're up to 5 on the trip now: Ric, Ashu, Alan, 92 and myself. I think we can get a couple others.
I think I'll call this . . . a "Mini Jam."

BoJo's has some real good Colorado pizza-pies. There's also the texas roadhouse, I only know of the one here in aurora, but its got some awesome steaks, and as long as its not saturday, its not so hard to get in. Or if we wanted our trucks to feel at home, we could go get some japanese food
I'm hungry...

No problem, Ric. I'm just glad I could help you out and give you a tour around the state for a bit. I'm always proud to show it off to locals and non-locals alike, mostly via my web site (still working on getting it back up).

I was going to PM all the CO folks like I mentioned, but apparently there has been a slight tweak to the PM functionality. It used to let you PM all your buddies, albeit five a time which I've done in the past. Now, it looks like you can only do it one at a time. If anyone finds out to the contrary, let me know and I'll resend a notice. And if I remember at the CO4RJ, I'll try and remind some folks there. Until then, hopefully people will see this thread and make some plans.
Also Ric, you might think about editing the thread title to also include something like, "Aug. 18-25: Dinner outing and wheeling trip" or something of the sort. Perhaps that may focus a few more eyes.
Were you also hinting at staying at motels then? If so, we should be able to work that in fairly easy enough.
Oh, and Ray, the Antero trail is just out of Buena Vista, which is 2 hours from the west edge of Denver. I'm guessing we'll get started no later than 8:30 on Saturday. I'll have to think about that some more. I know we'll want to cover some good ground that day. Additional details will follow.

Hey all,
Just checking in to see if there is any new "mini-jam" info??? Darren the trails you have suggested sound great!! Very scenic trails which will agree with my Yota which is pretty much stock except for some 31" BFG's. Any suggestions on supper/dinner locations?? Ric what kind of wheelin' pics you looking for?? I don't have any with my Yota, but hate to say I have plenty with my previous
Jeep
I will bring if OK
. Anyone planning on camping???
Looking forward to meeting everyone:bounce2:

Yes, I have done the deckplate mod.
I had the K&N FIPK but chucked it in favor of the deckplate mod. The FIPK is great at high altitude. The air/fuel mixture is dead on. But in town, it ran too lean and contributed to my pinging problems.

yea, ANY wheeling pics are good, as this will be my first "REAL" wheeling trip, im looking forward to meeting all you guys and gals, and learning some tips and tricks.. well my Runner is pretty stock also, i do have the Bridgestone MTS 265/75/16, its seems to sit a little taller,
HaveBlue,
i also have a K&N and not impressed with it, i think i might go with the Amsoil, most people here seem to have better luck with it.
Darren,
thankx again, for rounding things up, i really appreciate it, showing us some trails, the dinner, etc..
i often tell people (not matter what they drive), about this website, and the awesome people here, i cant wait to meet you guys.

If you're into Japanese, there's a place called Kokoro on Colorado & Evans in Denver. There's also one at 6th & Broadway near downtown Denver. They serve *nearly* authentic Japanese food. I like to think of it Americanized Japanese food. It's cheap, too!
If you're into Mongolian BBQ, there's a REALLY good place called B.D.'s Mongolian BBQ in LoDo at 16th & Market. It's all you can eat stir-fry for $11 and it's DEEElicious!
If you want Chinese, there's a place called Szechuan Chinese in the Meadowlark Shoppette at 6th & Garrison. It's typically $10/plate, but you get heeping piles of food on the plate and it's served family style so everyone can get a little bit of everything.
Then, of course, we have the national chains like Black-Eyed Pea, Chili's, etc.

any of them places sound good, we are very easy to get along with, go with the flow type, but would rather try something other then the national chains, we can get that here, lol.

Kokoro has awesome california rolls (not quite sushi). I agree, alot of bang for the buck, their bowls fill you up quickly. But they have no parking down there, how are we all going to fit?
If we go to that mongolian place we could all head to yotayard and pay them a visit
and grab parts if you need them. Especially after you guys go to minijam.
I am up for american food too, or mexican, or greek, or italian. If you guys (RicNkc) don't have Carraba's out there, then that's a good choice in my book. Italian grill with my absolute favorite dish "Pollo Rosa Maria". Its heartburn good; in that I risk getting a serious case of heartburn just to enjoy it. And good bread too! Where's the little icon of a person chowing down?

Seriously though, its on corner in a strip mall, and there is only about 15 spots total, and usually only 3 or 4 open. But it is still a possibility

i was kidding about parking anywhere, i do not want to give the local P.D. any reason to have a bad image of the 4x4 world, and that fact that i have a YOTATECH.COM sticker on my Runner, what ever you all decide is cool with us.

Scott, no new news here or any additional interested parties as of yet. I will think further about the trail selection next week after I get back from the 4Runner jam. But yes, plan on camping! Actually, Ric hasn't answered me from earlier, but are you going to do the motel thing, Ric? I couldn't quite decipher from an earlier post.
Also Ric, do you have through Monday, or are you planning to head back on Monday?
I'm not sure I'd be up for Japanese food. I can't say I've ever had any though, I don't think. I just don't like any surprises!
