You will be fine. You have enough lift and tire to overcome lack of gearing or lockers. Stock trucks can make it, but will need to take Bypasses, and will need to be comfortable with the rigs, and able to listen to spotters. Troy and Ric are good spotters, should get them through, but they have to listen. The group going is a good group, and so if you get stuck, you will be assisted, no problem.

If its icy, it doesn't really matter what you put on Serously, i'd throw on your heavy treads, since it might also be muddy, been pretty warm up here lately, like 50's to 60's.

I would like to be gunner for this run. Until i get a second case, i am waaay too slow to have anyone behind me, and thus will bring up the rear. Plus, i have a CB, and can radio up if someone is stuck.

Well then if its ok i may have to run up there. I may see you guys at the trail head at 10 then. How long does it usually take to run? Im meeting a few guys at 3 but were meeting to go wheeling so if i have time to run to boulder or up to a gas station to fill the truck and cans for the 3wheeler im golden

I've heard it's a TOTALLY different trail in the winter - especially when the ice gets built up.

Looks like we'll need someone with a winch in front...

As for how long, depends on how much people play on the obstacles and how crowded it is. It can be done in 2 hrs or less, and it's taken most all day before too.

The trail is actually easier in the winter, esp when the ice gets down. YOu need to keep the momentum up, but all the rocks are almost completely covered in ice, so its smooth. It is a skating rink, but it puts all rigs on the same playing field. When driving on flat ice, IFS on 28's works just as well as SAS on 44s.

VW. The trail itself is really short, and if we don't get a bad break or we don't run into a clog, then it shouldn't be a problem to get back for gas. If someone breaks good, or about 1million other people show up (actually a very real possibility) then it could take a while, but you can always go back down the trail, since it is usually run in a CCW loop

I may have to pass on tomorrow morning. I was checking in t this new noise i got today when i was pulling out of the dealer and turns out its a idler arm thats trashed. I got the part and am goin out to throw it on. In the morning when i get up i have to run the 3wheeler over for a new tire(filled the tires and left to get supplys and come home to a hole i can fist?) Its been a bad bad day

Just thought id throw that out there incase im not there in time so you guys dont wait for me....I guess we will see tho its the first time doing this and i hope this is the problem.

For sure were doing johnny park.Leaving my house at 3:30 so if someone wants to make a run with us then let me know. What CB channel is good to use? Im installing that tonight too?

My # is 720-329-630 One..... if i have service and your up that way and im not at carnage (stupid trucks pissing me off...I hope i can get it going so i can put a few good dents in it tomorrow) But i will check here to see what channel to be on if anyones coming up.

I drove up to Carnage after work today, went in just past Guardian to the first rock garden, and there was NO snow nor ice. Hell, it was hardly even muddy. So, I'll have the 33's on tomorrow (read - I'm too lazy to change wheels tonight).

I have better SWR on higher channels if we can...

good to be positive.I hope i can be that way when my grandpa passes(soon) hes been said to be cured of cancer 3 times and this time its come back way to strong. One of the strongest, smartest men i know has turned in to a toddler in a matter of a week.

I am still trying for the run but i just got in from fixing the steering. The alternator will be a 10 minute fix when i get up so i plan on getting up and busting my ass to get up there. Hope it all works. If not you guys have a great time and take lots of pics so i can kick myself for the rest of the week

I ment ot ask this earlier.... If a stock rig can make it through carnage then why does everyone talk about it like its so crazy? My dad ran it with me when i was younger and i went up with a few guys but what im figuring out is we went up the left hand side...i dont really remember the trail that well.

Carnage at Boulder is not crazy. It is a nice day run.

Carnage at Buena Vista is crazy. It can take all day to not make much progress.

Have fun, I am headed back to Wisconsin.

I dunno Ariene, I think Carnage in Boulder is a prety decent run if you do all the hard obstacles (I mean it is no BV Carnage that's to be sure but...)
