Cruise Moab 2006
Not sure who all here is even aware of it, or who plans to attend, but I thought I would throw it out there.
Starting at the tail end of next week, Cruise Moab is getting down in Moab. It is a relatively huge event put on by the Rising Sun club, based here in Denver. If you have not registered, it is WAY too late. But because I am sure some have, I wanted to offer an invitation.
I will be out there Wednesday afternoon/evening to Sunday mid-day if all goes well. I will not have my truck, but I will have my kilt. I have space at Spanish Trails and friends across the street at the KOA. If you have met me, we can share a brew. If not, look for a large, hairy man in a kilt and we will have an excuse to share a brew.
Isaac is coming, any one else?

I'll be there thursday afternoon, due to some last minute screwing by a teacher, and a final needing to be taken before i go instead of after.
I'm in the KOA, look for a silver and black 4Runner, and a smurf blue FJ40. May be some other folks crashing at our spot, locals from round these parts.

Glad to see the Cruise is still happening. I was a trail leader for the first 5 yrs on all of the difficult trails. This year, we are heading out Sat. 5-6 thru 5-14 for the Bronco Safari.

Well, now I am back from the Cruise so I am having a PBR and unpacking.
I did Coyote, Upper Helldorado twice, Green Day, Pritchett Canyon in and out, Steel Bender, and walked way too much.
Had a beer with AxleIke and saw Bobzooki's Gnewt, sorry for not saying a more official hello. Ran into Joe and the School Bus on the way out of town at City Market.
The trail tough FJ Cruiser's broke some stuff and at least one left camp on a roll back truck. At least they handed out sweet FJ schwag.
Broke two rear diffs, two alternators, one 40" TSL and sun burned my face. Also rolled a Taco into the hole on the exit of Hellderado leading to the extracation from hell.
This is really an event to make. Met cats from all over. The 80 Cruiser guys from Nor Cal are top notch, and there were other folks from all over. I encourage future attendance.
Coyote:
The exit to Hellderado, rolled a Taco into the hole on the right of the pic.
Do you know this man?

Good times. Mangled a the front skid, broke bolts off that hold on the ARB, ripped off the rear bumper completely, and worked over the driveline and rear diff pretty good. Still running fine though.
Even got 25.5 mpg on the return trip cruising at 55-65 behind a 40. Very nice.
Good weather, great folks.
Too bad we only got one beer dude, but it looked like things were about to get down to business on the taco, so i figured it was time to move out.
