The "Oh my God Road" is just a dirt road. Not much for four wheeling.
The trail you are thinking of is prob Yankee Hill off of York Gulch/fall river road. It is pretty mellow, with a few optional obstacles up top. Snow would make it more challenging. It is prob a 3 or 4 if you stay on the main trail. It links up with Central city and St. marys glacier trails. I have been up there a few times in the last few months, with and without snow.

I have been up to a lot of those trails in that area in the winter and couldn't make it up a trail which a car could normally make it up. Since this has been a mild winter it shouldn't be to big of a problem.

I say we meet at the McDonalds in Idaho Springs. Its a gas Station so if anyone needs to fill up they can and then we can go. Does this work for everyone?

Plays_with_toys- you want to follow me up there. Im really slow approaching the foothils in my 3.slow but it aint too bad. We could meet at Aurora Mall?

So Lefthand is no longer the objective?

I think with us not knowing about snow, that idaho springs is a safer bet for us keeping that date. So I say we go for Idaho instead of lefthand. We can save that one for later.

Scuba, if you want to meet up at the mall that's definately cool with me, unless you're at your parents house, in which case I'm even closer to that. (5 min away compared to 20 min away). Trust me [kung foo voice] "You're 3.0 slow is no match for my double barrel 4cylinder sonic attack! I will fly past you at a terrifying 60 mph and 3000rpms!" [/kung foo voice].

What is a good restaraunt down there? I think there is a Beau Jo's pizza down there. Also what time would be a good time for everyone to be there, like 10 or 11, or earlier? Are we going to need to beat the crowd?

the idaho springs trail sounds good to me. if its alright with everyone else, 10 sounds like a good time to meet. theres going to be traffic no matter what because of people driving up to ski for the weekend but it shouldn't be too bad. so 10a.m. at the mcdonalds in idaho springs on the 7th?

I would love to go, but I don't think I will have enough time. We'll have to plan another trip in the near future.

If we do eat at Beau Jo's, we'll need reservations.

So, lets do a headcount. Please state if you are going, and how many people you are bringing with, if any.

I am going, with one extra person in tow.

Anyone else? I thought we had more people...

I am thinking its going to be a serious mud run, this snow will probably have melted off. Or maybe it will snow in the interrum.

I just had all my radiator hoses replaced and am getting a new exhaust in preparation for the trip

I was just going to go to the midas off of smokey and buckley. My mechanic recommended a guy named mike there.

And are we going to meet at the mall, or your parents house?

I know this is off topic but....

Hey guys, sorry to jack the thread. But for any of you in aurora/centennial need a good mechanic, go to Smoky Hill auto service which is on smokey hill and one block west of buckley. The guy is just plain awesome. I had some work done by him, I told him to replace any hoses that were bad, and he didn't replace all my hoses, he actually replaced only the bad ones. He also warned me about my differentials and when all was said and done, he threw in a coupon for me that had been sent out to customers, unfortunately I never got it, but he tossed it in there anyway. Oh his name is Craig.

So I am set for the wheeling trip! Getting my exhaust friday, but the major mechanical work is done!
