As far as food- I think everyone handles their own meat.
well, I would hope so.
As for the kids, I think we will be bringing a couple of them. We actually have 3; Border Collie, Austrlian Sherperd, and a baby of these two. A little family if you will. The wife will have the final say on who gets to go and who stays.

CO4RJ Window Sticker

Above is what the window sticker will look like. The white outline represents where the vinyl will be cut - I'm having a little white border so the sticker shows up on dark or tinted windows.

Like last year, I will have the stickers printed locally - so I am only printing enough for people who email me saying they want one. I might have a few extras for people who don't frequent the forum.

Sitcker will be approx - 5" x 5" (it's not a square design)UV and Weather Resistant.

Price will be $10.00 each like last year. Payable when I hand you the sticker at the event.

So, If you want one (or more than one) email me jstavola@earthlink.net so I can have one printed for you.

Also, as a reminder... CO4RJ Shirts Availabe Here

As for food, Jeff should I bring some frozen patties? I didn't see anybody on the list bringing patties????
That campground's typical way of dealing with groups is that the group leader is responsible for gathering all the money from everyone. But what we've done in the past and what the campground and I agreed for this year is that everyone in our group needs to pay their money directly to the campground office, then they'll give you some wierd, unique sticker :alien: to put on your headlight so we all know who has paid. That guy that works at that campground is forgetful so I'm not surprised that he doesn't remember that part of it. You'll probably need to bug him for a sticker after you pay, too.

Donna Brown is actually organizing the potluck regarding who's bringing what. She says for each person to bring their own meat. So unless she says otherwise....

John, excellent work on the stickers as usual. Too bad I got into the fray after the profanity was removed, but I know that not all of us are punk college kids.

Regarding the trails, it would help me to see who is where in selection because one trail to another means little to me as I have done none of them. The company is more of a deciding factor unless Mr. Wells has a strong opinion.

Regarding the thongs, I bet that around 10:30 or so every evening there may be some willing participants, just remember to ask.

Regarding co-pilots, a friend of mine that I have known since kindegarten may be cruising with me before he joins the working world, otherwise I will have an open seat if anyone wants to ride with me.

"The Flygtenstein Dancers"?

Then I'll probably be packing it in around 10:00. :walk:

Or are you bringing 4x4 groupies with you from Wisconsin (i.e. the willing participants)? :rockband:

Bad News

Due to an unforeseen but very important appointment, I will not be able to lead, the Chinaman's gulch run on Friday. I'll try to rejoin the Jamboree as soon as possible Friday afternoon. I'll be back in time for the pot-luck dinner though.

I'm sure the brilliant minds that are organizing this trip will find a replacement leader, or perhaps we will switch Saturday's trails with Friday's.

I'm really sorry. I was looking foreward to it more than anything on my calendar this year.

Again, I'm really bummed I'm going to miss this event again this year. It sounds like quite a good time.

I want to see Schaefer crawl over this optional obstacle on Chinamans. Someone please get a video of this for me. I expect him to be able to negotiate this much more gracefully that Mike Brown and I did last year. And no smokin' the clutch tie die man.

I would be willing to lead it. I've done the trail a couple times. However I'd need someone to give me a map or something, because it's possible to get lost in there.

Has anyone changed the trails they are registered for yet?

Mike, I wish there were 4x4 groupies in Wisconsin, that would be great, but it seems you folks out west have them pretty well covered.

How many are registered?

Jeff, I was just wondering how many have registered at this point. I count 25 posted on this thread. Is that right?

Thumbs up

For everyone's information, John has made an alternate "non-college sudent" version of the shirt for Donna and me. It replaces "MOTHER PUCKER" with...

"MUSTA' PICKED THE WRONG LINE" PUCKER

I thought the other design was clever, but not something I wanted to wear around. Orders can be made here. John says he'll have a full selection of mechandise on the page shortly. By the way, John was kind enough to offer this to us -- we didn't have to ask him. What a guy!

Mike - thanks for pointing out the link for the shirt with the revised wording. I'll prefer to order one of the revised ones, too. Very cool design, though.

To all - I think only one person actually changed their trails so far. But now don't worry about it until tomorrow (8/5) since it looks pretty certain that I'll be swapping Wheeler Lake and Chinaman's so that Matt can still lead Chinaman's on Saturday. Mike Brown will then lead Wheeler Lake. Yes, it thoroughly scrambles the entire trail selection and everyone will need to reregister, but it's what's needed with trail leaders to run this number of trails each day. We needed to split up the number of people on Wheeler and Chinaman's anyway, and now we'll have an easy, moderate, and hard trail for each of Friday and Saturday. More details later tonight...

Wait until the stockers SEE the 4Runners in person that they will be wheeling with, I'm sure you will have quite a few revisions.

Mark G. and Myself would like to go to together on what ever trails we run.

Steve.... LOL

Ok, The "Family Friendly" version is up. Click Here

If anybody ordered the "Mother Pucker" shirt and now wants the other version - Cafepress has a 30 day refund/exchange policy. So you can always return it and get the other version. But you lose out on the shipping money - sorry.

Also....

LAST CALL for CO4RJ STICKERS!!!
If you want one - email me so I can have one printed for you:
jstavola@earthlink.net If you missed it - here's what it will look like

Chinaman's has been (or will be) moved to Saturday. We are pretty much swapping Friday's itenerary with Saturday's. I get to lead after all. I'm still pissed, but not as much. I hope this dosen't ruin anything for anyone else.

How many stockers have signed up? And how many actually signed up for Chinaman's?

The road trip begins this Friday. Colorado, here I come!

The stockers have followed the trail ratings/recommendations and stuck to the easier trails. I'd be surprised if there are many, if any, revisions where people choose an easier trail. I think there will probably be a few where people will change their mind to do tougher trails than what they're signed up to do because they wanted to get here and talk to people about the trails first before they get over their heads in a tough trail.

There's at least a few stockers attending. The easy trails will fit them well.

Steve - I think that you and Mark are both modified well enough to do all of the toughest trails of the gathering. There will be a lot of well-equiped vehicles at this jamboree.
