I just got back from Buena Vista. I stayed in OUR exact camp site the last 2 nights. I was there with the Colorado Isuzu group, so I got to run a couple trails with them, too.

We have the 3 sites that are the furthest east on that tent row. They're numbered T10, T11, and T12. The largest site is on the end - that's T12 - and there's a huge 3 foot diameter round fire pit. The campground has a metal stake that's long enough to span across it and a few grill pieces that can rest on top of it. The campground office lets people borrow those specifically for use on the huge fire pits. The 2 smaller sites (which are still quite large) have one typical square fire pit/grill in each site, along with a picnic table.

There's a serious deer issue in that campground. You might wake up to a deer next to your tent. So don't leave food out. Black/brown beers (not grizzlies) are somewhat possible there, but pretty unlikely.

Another liquor store is in Johnson Village, which is about 4 miles north of our campground.

Yes, you can also use propane stoves on the picnic tables.

There's not much for fire restrictions this year, since it's been reasonably wet there (almost average precipitation).

The stream that goes right past the last tent site is fun for kids to play in.

Do they have any amber beers?

Haha. Good catch. Oops. Yeah, there might be all colors of beers there. Some have quite a bite and will land you on your back.
