We're doing a rafting/wheeling/camping trip that weekend with CoTTORA maybe we could get something together. One of our members is going to be a White Water Rafting guide up in BV and we had that weekend planned for Tincup so we just put the two together.

I see a potential Trifecta! CO4RJ, camp/rafting and a WFTW prerun/scouting. Too cool. August 1-2-3?

Same for me. I've been wanting to get CO wheeling in for several years now. Are the dates solid yet?

Date-wise, I'm still thinking August 1-2-3. I know it doesn't work for everyone but whatever weekend I pick will be bad for somebody (sorry SteveO )

Here's a link to Stay the Trail and Four Mile Travel Management Area (area east of BV). This is a ton of BLM and USFS land in this area and looks like a decent place to camp for free. Anybody ever camp in this area? I'm specifcally looking at the McGee Gulch (CR 315), Shields Gulch (CR 305), Sevenmile Creek area or Bald Mtn. Gulch (CR 300) / Arnold Gulch (CR 300A) areas??? Are there any bigger camp sites to host a group of 20-30-40 rigs?

I'm looking to be close to the Hwy for easy access before and after the trail runs but still be out in the forrest with some nice campsites and not much traffic.

Sounds like there are some good campsites off of CR 315 and 305 that are big enough for CO4RJ and close to the hwy. If anybody makes it down near the BV area and has a couple of minutes to burn, could you spot these two CR's out and let me know???

I know a group of us is going in July to scout locations for the WFTW event in 2009... but that will prolly be too late huh?

I can make it down from WA if ya'll let me know a few months ahead of time. Gotta request time off from work, and make sure I am not racing that weekend.

Thanks for the offer though. I will scout it out one of these weekends I run Chinamans or BV Carnage if I have to. Looking at Google Maps, I have found some great campsites in that area, just have to make sure they are big enough to hold us.

Wow, that's a long drive to attend this event. I think Aug. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are going to be the dates since it seems to work so far. Now I just need to let my wife know what I'm planning that weekend

I need a vacation, and no one around here ever sets up good events. Not too far for me!

No guarantee it will be set up good (I'm planning it ) but we'll try to put on a good event. I have one sponsor lined up willing to donate a great raffle item

What else do people want to see in this event? I just want to 4wheel during the day and sit by the and BS at night. I also have a paintball gun and since it's USFS land, we can play! The group of people I usually camp with all bring their paintball gear and we have some kickass games!

We dont have any west coast 4runner jamborees. I had planned on coming to CO last year, but it wasn't in the cards. This year, i have ample vacation AND a tow rig to tow her down.

Course the stupid thing only gets about 300 miles to a tank...sooo....i dunno.

Looking at a map, CO is a little farther away than I thought! Lol.

I was about to post Fourmile as an idea for camping... very good idea. I just put in for those dates at work.
