Co4rj 2005

Damn it! I don't look at the board for a week or three and all of a sudden there's 6 pages of CO4RJ posts and worse yet I'm not gonna be able make it this year. I look forward to checking out the pics and cursing myself for not being there.

Well, its now decsion time. Do i quit my job, and attend, or miss out, and make money to support my 4wheeling addiction? Actually, the decision has been made. My lame boss will not let me off for the whole weekend, because it is right before school starts, and we have to move people in. I cant afford to lose this job, since i'm being paid in addition to not have to pay any rent. However, I'm so pissed off right now. So, can i suggest October 13-16th for Moab this year?

So, what mods are you planning prior to CO4RJ in August?
I hope to finish my rear bumper for sure. A long shot will be a crawler and 35's

If I can make it I probably won't have anything new besides some armor (belly and fuel tank skid) in addition to the changes I have made since Moab last year (manual hubs...). I will be spending my time tweaking my current suspension and planning the jump to 35s.

I am simplifying. 31's, all terrains, no low range.
Should be some cool trucks from all around. In a perfect world, I will have bigger tires, but I am most concerned with modifying my empty passenger seat.

Hi all,
Just some info for your trip up the trails. Iron Chest is fairly easy, as the rocks have settled, we took a stock Jeep (in our group) up with little difficulty. If the rocks become wet, look for alot of slipping and sliding. Wet rocks need larger tires and lockers. Chinamans is fairly easy for a good driver, the only obstacle is the waterfall and with your wheel base being longer, an unlocked vehicle can make the trip. But, I would suggest at least 33's for clearance in some areas. Also, for the HARDCORE in your group, i.e. lockers, lift, winch and large tires and little regard for body damage, you have Carnage next to Chinamans. We have run the trail in question recently, as we are in Pueblo, and that is the closest place for us to play, other than Independence in Penrose.
We hope to have another 4runner soon, so we might see ya' up there.

Of course, if you play on Carnage in BV - Iron chest might be "easy" for you.

I'm sure Iron Chest will be perfect for the top 5-10 rigs that are armored up good and want a new challenge. For reference, Cracker is an incredible driver with a large well built older Bronco. I've hear about him for years via the old time Rising Sun members. And I actually met him briefly this summer on Red Cone\Glacier Ridge. Good to hear from your Cracker and hope to see you at the 4Runner Jamboree.
