I think that is exactly what I did as well. Coming down was harder than going up, but a little zig zag and your through.

What amazes me is that Yoder made it through the squeeze on Woodpecker with an undented stock rear bumper and to this date NO 4Runner has done that without rubbing the rear corner of the bumper. 1985 4Runner, Myself and Steve Hunt all did the same thing. There is a bypass that the rest took. A jeep TJ is shorter and can make the turn without hitting.

So if you get sick of the snow and what to wheel "the most kick ass trails" this winter. It's only 12 hours away. Plus you get to see me, the freak I am on my home trails. Ziad is going to be down here in October, but I might be at that thing in California.

Not sure I deserve any praise for that. (I want my straight frame back! ) We didn't have the luxuary of an available bypass, whereas, Yoder did. Scott and I are pretty much the same in regard to daring. We vary from situation to situation, but in general, pretty close. Yoder sometimes takes things faster than I do.

Scott called me Sunday evening, and I think he told me he looked at Yoder Rock and saw how bad it was. I don't believe he tried it.

Brown noser? Ha!

I still want to get Woodpecker and Jack handle under my belt.

The trails down there are super cool, sort of like Moab in that pretty much all the time something is going on. If it weren't so darn hot in the summer, it would be a great place to hang out.

I still think that Yoder rock is doable, but a better line is in order. Also, the dump thing at the end needs to be driven across right to left.

I used my slider on that rock because sliders slide. I thought that a bumper would bump and I was betting on that rock not moving.

Every one made it past the Shep thing. We had to, we were warriors by that point and had made a Survivor TV show like bond by then.
Well since I had the "option", I took the bypass. I'm sure I could have done it. But, it was a relaxing wheel trip and it felt like a good call at the time. I'm gearless clutch man. What can I say. I just really don't like to have to take the kamikaze approach on those things unless I have too anymore.

If you take the "new" obstical out, Martinez is harder for sure. You did great on that, your still a stud in my book.
Martinez is a great trail. Solid rock and a lot of obstacles. I would still rate it about the same at Chinamans overall. Bypass or no bypass. It's hard to say. Like at Moab, the solid rock at Martinez lets you easily conquer difficult stuff.

Glad to see you gave ChinaFairy a go. Did you do the Yoder rock thing ???
The main rock on Yoder Rock was huge. Most of the dirt around the rock was gone and all of the loose rocks were cleared out. I would of had to stack a bunch of rocks and hammer through it. That's no fun, plus rock stacking like that is frowned upon by the larger rigs.

I'll be back to seriously kick "OLD CHINADOLLS" booty.
I will look forward to that!

Nice pic. You're supposed to USE the sliders.
Correct Jeff. At that point in the picture I had turned a little late. I then backed up and used the slider as designed. That's a fun technical spot.

Sorry but I won't be coming down to Phoenix with the family for Thanksgiving this year. It will have to be next year for me.

Ok. Now I'll work on posting some pictures.

2 greenies, isn't that cute. Just kidding, the jade is one of my favorite colors on the 4Runner.

Nice pictures, Scott. I need to get up there this fall or winter as I still haven't been there.
