Big Bear 12-12-2009

Its going to rain Sunday evening and Monday. That means snow in big bear according to the forecast......Anyone interested in running 3N16 in Big Bear Saturday the 12th?

Myself and a few other TTORA members will be attending this....Here are the specific details:

News Forecast:
Two pacific storms heading in our direction.......
* Sunday Evening - Rain / Snow
* Monday - Rain / Snow
* Tuesday - Rain / Snow
* Wednesday - Cloudy with a slight chance of rain
* Thursday - Rain / Snow
* Friday - Rain / Snow
* Saturday - No Rain
* Sunday - No rain

We should get plenty of snow in the mountains to make this a great trip. The plans are as posted by showstop.

Saturday 8:30am Meeting at McDonalds at I-15 and Bear Valley here:
N34 28.280 W117 20.575

4x4 and M+S (mud and snow) tires required

We recommend the following minimum equipment:
All Terrain tires
F/R recovery points
Recovery gear (winch, tow straps, shackles, etc)
Tire chains

We don't require chains on the trail, only to meet CHP requirements on highway as necessary.

Any questions please call or text me Ivan (562) 673-3183
Please post here or call / text me if you plan on attending.

One thing i learned growing up in big bear, there is only one forecaster to trust. Go to bensweather.com he has been wrong about a storm once.
