I have a feeling this may be one of maybe 2 trips to the badlands at the most for this season for me. It will have to be pretty amazing to get me go there alot over the cliffs which is only 45min away from me. But I dont know for sure Ive never been to the Badlands, which is kinda funny, but I never saw the point. Before I had the cliffs I had 70 achres of private kicka$$ land in ottawa.

LOL

The Elecrolytic rust removal is Sodium Carbonate (washing soda) and water. It's working pretty good. I'm hoping to do the whole frame this weekend.

I've gotta get the 80 in the shop and fix that slider and my rear locker too. I supposed to go on a poker run this Saturday, but I really need time in the shop. Maybe Sunday this week.

Can't forget the T-100 SAS with the TBI 350, Richmond 4+1, NP205, D44/14-Bolt. That's the truck that got me signed into this site in the first place.

The thing about the badlands, is that they have EVERYTHING there. Its not like the cliffs with one kind of terrain that is constant throughout the entire park. Once you find yourself in the quarry you will see the major draw of the badlands.

Yeah we'll see Ive only had my truck on the rocks once and with the iFS it sucked. Speaking of witch I hope to pick up a solid axle soon, and begin collecting all the crap to switch to yummy goodness. So then I may be itching to get on the rocks.
Oh and I might swing by your place in sunday and check out the rig. It seems saturday will be spent helping 924runnersr5 with a locker install, powersteering pump pull, and other misc. stuff. Hey I dont see why a truck cant drive around with out a PS pump. It hasnt worked in a while any way.
People did it for 50 yrs. Oh well just thought id hijack my own thread

After driving your truck I think youve been wheeling without PS anyway.

I'm still in, no power steering and all...

I'd like to meet somewhere so that we can "yota convoy" up there together.

Meeting up at 8:30 will place us there at about 10:30 right?

Wow!

So we should meet at about 6:30ish then? I didn't think college students got up that early.

Yeah if you want to meet me at 127th st exit off of 294 between 6-6:30. Preferably closer to 6 Im going to cruise nice and easy those TSL's seem to have a adverse affect on my highway travel.
Keep taht in mind when you decide to convoy with me.....65mph tops for me.

We could get down there later. We would avoid the line at the gate that way. 5:00 comes up mighty fast sometimes though. Especially when you're not staying overnight to wheel again on Sunday.

Yeah Im not against getting there early.
If we got there later we would probably get in at what 11:00, then figure an hour to air down, B.S. gwt eveyone rounded up, etc... it will be noon before we hit the trail. And it looks like there is a badlands jambo that day.

I'm flexable either way. But I'd almost prefer being there earlier than later just to have more time to wheel.

it will probably take 10-15 minutes to get in there if you get there before it opens. There's been times where the line would follow on both sides of the road and go all the outside

Dude, you and INsr5Runner need to come out and wheel! You can move on Friday and/or Sunday.

If my memory is correct, you guys backed out of the last run too.
