ARIZONA - Sunflower Mine - Everyone Run - November 26, 2005
Sunflower Mine is a nice trail for everyone, even stock trucks. We'll meet in the Arby's Parking lot at Shea and the Beeline highway.
Meeting time: 8:00am, we pull out for the trailhead at 8:30am sharp.
Enjoy the great weather and come and hang out with all the other Toyota guys in the valley.
See you there. No limts, we'll make it work with how every many show up. This is a good large crowd trail.
Bring a CB if you have one, but if you don't no biggie.

I'm down for sure.
Hmm. Should I take my truck or the FJ80?
:EDIT: Looked at the "skid row" sunflower mine video. LOL. Trail looks really fun, but are you sure you want people in stock rigs tagging along?

haha i forgot about that video; cool...my friend made that video. I was up there earlier this year w/ them, in the spring I think.
Ben had a stock 89 4runner on worn 30" BFG ATs, open diffs and he made it through the entire trail, he did not suffer any damage. It took alittle rock stacking, throttle and careful driving.
Its possible with a stock Toyota with good spotting, but makes for a good challenge. Also watched a stock Samurai on 29s complete the entire trail.
This will be a fun ride.

You can just meet us at the trail head, no need to go down to PHX and then 1/2 way back up the highway.

Steve and Bryan - The turnoff from the Beeline to Sunflower Mine trail is located near mile marker 222, directly opposite the turnoff to Mt. Ord (there is a sign for this turnoff), its located on a curve on the highway as well. Take the turnoff on the northern/west side of the highway and head down the hill and you will see a dirt road off to the right hand side, good place to meet/air down.
