Also, for anyone who can head out early on Friday, ecchamberlin and probably TJMatt are going to meet up at the Carl's Jr. in Alpine at 5pm.

Hey Cesar, that's cool if you want to try to meet maybe in Alpine at the Tavern rd exit off of 8East. What time are you meeting your friend? I don't get home until around 6:30 so I know I'll be running late, but I'm closer to Alpine than you so it may work out ok.

That guy at mudshack is pretty gruff, but apparently he's an AP photographer and has some nice shots in the shop that he's taken. I took his word for it about the little wil, he actually talked me out of a firestik, and said it would work better. So far he's right.

P.S.--I've got Kwiksets

Thsoe magnet mounts are adjustable. That set screw can allow you to move the antenna up and down in small increments and for more tuning you will have to cut. Those are easier to cut than the fiberglass antennas in my opinion. Just bring some bolt cutters or something that can cut thick wire.

THere is no such thing as an optimized antenna. EVERY system is different. It may have been setup to be close to the "average" setup, or optimized fro the equipment at the manufacturer, btu it will probably be off. Generally the manufacturers make the antennas too long, thus allowing you to tune it. (You can't really add antenna on, now, can you?)

I'll have my meter out there and will help whoever needs it. But as far as other tools, I won't have any on hand. Except for Eric, we need to be able to make fun of him when he is out of range. hahahaha Just kidding dude.

For those interested...I plan on leading a run up Lower Coyote Canyon on Sunday morning. It will be a quick run and will be done in a couple hours. The trail starts in Borrego Springs, so it is sort of on the way home from Superstitions.

Disdain:
1. To regard or treat with haughty contempt; despise. See Synonyms at despise.
2. To consider or reject as beneath oneself.

Awww man, it ain't disdain. It's tough love....Dr. Phil style.

I am bringing guacamole, chips, and salsa for the dinner on Sat. I know Mikey is taking care of the meat and tortillas.

Bring wood if you can.

Damn, I sure wish I could be there Saturday night. Unfortunately, I was presented with the rare opprotunity to comb Cheech Marin's moustache. How can I pass that up?

John and I will be bringing wood, in the form of palettes and tree limbs.

Hey Rob, we're leaving their house at 7pm sharp. I know they'll want to stop by a food place to get dinner. How about we'll stop by Carl's Jr. on Tavern Rd. in Alpine?

You wanna meet us there? Since you live closer to Alpine, hopefully that'll give you sometime to pack up a little bit. Here's my cell # 619-807-9365.

Has anyone decided what cb channel we're going to be on?

Seth, I've got two packages of noodles but I'm thinking that will not be enough. I have a LARGE tupperware container almost full with the sauce

So, to answer you question Seth, bring another package or two of noodles. I will bring the large pot to heat up the sauce so if someone else could bring a pot to cook the noodles, that would be key.

I'm bringing shredded parmesean cheese for the sauce too.
