I plan to show up on Friday night 9:00-10:00ish. I'll do my best to load up some wood for the cause.

Hey Mikey - Let me know when you're leaving OB. I'd like to try and meet up for the caravan. I'm just down on Del Mar Ave. Did you get in the water today? A little bumpy but the dawn patrol @ Ab's was pretty fun. Anyway - let me know what's what sometime this week. I sent you a PM with my #. Later. Andy.

Hey Marc, I'm still up in the air whether I'm leaving Fri night or Sat morning. I will know for sure by Thursday.

Now, my friend, Ernie & his wife, are planning to head out on Fri night. I'm not sure what time they'll be on the road Fri night though. I'm assuming if I join them on Fri night it'll have to be 7-8pm departure time 'cause I don't close shop until 5:30pm.

If I decide to leave on Saturday morning, I will be joining you on the road by 7am.

Allright, I'm set for friday. It's on. I'm crusiing with my XJ buddy again (John). I need to get him some Toyota emblems. Are we meeting on the side by the dunes? Basically close to where we camp at the 4wheelers event? or is it somewhere else?

We'll load up the fire wood and bring some side dishes or dessert.

Anyone know specific directions from SD to the campsite in Superstition?

Just in case we don't end up caravaning with somebody who's been there.

Mikey, aren't you worried about opening the door with your elbow? Looks sweet, though

I think you have to pull out on that knob to release the door. If he can do that with his elbows, he has more to worry about than opening his doors.

Cool doors. Now you will be able to see all of us bottom feeders down here.

My wife and I are both geeked about this trip. I know she is because she is headed to REI tomorrow night. LOL.

I am gonna try to get Jeremy at Weldtec to relocate my sliders and do some rewelding on my 1st gen roll bar so I can put it in my Runner before we go.

What good does the first gen rollbar do? I'm not even sure it would do much good if us 1st geners rolled it. It's pretty thin, in my opinion. Are you planning to roll out there? I swear, man, you break one axle, and now you want to roll your truck....sheesh!

Where are the sliders going to?

I want to mount some stuff to it inside and it will actually be a bit stronger than a stock one because it will have plates on the underside also instead of just the top ones like on 1st gens. Sliders are going up an inch now that my BL is done. Gap looks bad IMO.

Marc
UMMM No! I got it for 40 bucks and will do all the mod'ing myself as apposed to Steves 250 and nearly 100 for shipping. Rip off!

NO plans of rolling it just something to do really. Actually yesterday I totally broke down that trashed CV to see how it works and how hard it would be to rebuild. No problem. I need to take in for the 130 core at carquest. I have a spare CV now and it is 100%.

I got ready for the trip by changing my trans fluid, changing my belts, and entering a bunch of waypoints in my GPS that I have no idea how to use
