Hey all sorry for not saying hello earlier i didnt see this section

Today i start my road trip from LA back home to Toronto stopping to see all the sight out there like Vegas, San Fran and the lot.

About a week ago i ended my 1 year ordeal working aboard a cruise ship in the south Pacific's. My buddy here in LA got me a 87 4runner 4 cyl 5 spd that i have been dreaming about owning for years now..... this baby has got over 350k on her but was a one owner so heres hoping she makes it back . I will do my best to post some pic for the trip and the truck. I am sure there will be one or 2 of me working on her on the side of the road out in the middle of the dessert.

Will let you know my movements as they happen or as my truck need work i cant figure out lol.

Today i leave the LA area (SIMI valley) and head for sin city.....

 

Welcome to the family Daft... don't forget to keep all the vehicle sale paperwork together for when you hit the border... unless you keep her Cali plated which might save you a lot of hassle for a while...
Don't worry about maint. when you get home I've got a great specialist mech. I can hook you up with for anything you don't want to tackle yourself.

 

It's not Shane form toy works is it??? Nope going to send in all my paper work 72 hours prior to getting to the boarder I hope it all goes smoothly. I have the title and bill of sale what else do I need???

You might have an issue with the plates if you don't have a US DL... I was just reading an article in the Wheels section the other day and Customs won't allow a US plate vehicle driven by a Can. DL driver across the border... sounds like a crock to me but that's Customs for you...

but with 72hr notice all should be well when you get there...

 

Well truck made it to Vegas if only an engine light coming on.... Do you know what pins I need to jump to get the codes??? Do you know Shane's email or contact info I would love to get in touch with him. I am on the move to Tahoe in 4 day after I see some more of Nevada's natural attraction. The runner does not like hills with a bed full of junk so will see how slow I have to move lol.
