1st gen runner vs Jeep.....

This weekend (29/30 Jan) I'm taking the 1st gen runner up to some trails along with my tattoo artist and his Jeep. It seems that the word "Jeep" means it's a bad ass rig since it has a "trail rated" badge on the side (so he says) "Hell Jeep wouldn't put that badge on there if it wasn't a trail rig". Not planning on anything crazy since he does not have lockers, although he has bigger tires and says the bigger meat on the ground makes the rig better. Ah we'll see. He has more lift, bigger tires, a lower crawl ratio (I think it's 4:1) and his tires are radials (according to him they give better traction). Pics to come when we get there. This will give me time to complete that colder air intake I'm working on and give him time to wash and wax his rig.

Keep your fingers crossed that I can go where he goes and not get stuck.

Oh I've taken a page from you and Kiyo on this one. Pulling air from the cowl and building an air box for the Supra MAF and short cone. Nothing visible (sleeper) but a nice forced air set up. Since I pulled the outer fender and stuck the filter/MAF outside it does a lot better on skinny pedal response.

Of course it looks strange...... but better this than mounting the MAF and filter on the hood.

Poly~ No I'm not driving that far for a wheeling trip, if I was going to do a trip that long I'd go see BBP and let him learn me a few things.

I'll be hitting some trails here in New Mexico up around Tijeras on the logging roads.

Meh it never happened, he got his jeep detailed on Saturday morning so he could pick up the new girlfriend..... she doesn't like dirt......... so we couldn't go out and find any fun runs. Stupid Jeepers.... I mean if you've got the 4x4 freaking use it. My lady and I went on our own and got twisted up in a few places. Damn I glad that little pocket rocket that I'm dating loves to get dirty.

Well..... that day we went out there was some serious dirty sex on the hood of my 4runner.... we were both covered in mud from the run and she turns to me and says....

Well never mind what she said but, well, it was a great afternoon in the dirt. *blush*
