Good day yesterday. Canyon de Pantalones looks like it will be a truck tester for sure. We'll definately need the better part of the day to complete it. I'd say there are at least 4 real difficult sections with another half dozen "That didn't look like it was going to be that tough" sections.

The camping looks good at the bottom of the trail just before you enter the main portion. WE didn't get any GPS readings but it is betweeen #'s 14 and 15 on this map.

There is also camping at the top but with the freeway right there it's not the optimum camping experience.

All in all - it should be a great day.

We did not see the actual exit, but looking at the map I am pretty sure we hiked the whole thing. We hiked for almost 4 hrs, and then went to Viejas for the buffet and stuffed our faces.

I plan on Heading out there Friday and getting there before dark. If anyone want to tag along, there more then welcome. I figured, if we have to meet up by 9AM out there, I might as well go the night before, have some drinks and wake up and wheel. How was the tempatures in the morning? Lets get a count on who wants to Camp out there on friday from the Yotatech and TTORA group And a final count who is going to make this trip?

SWEET PICS!! Normally when you see pics of trucks going over obstacles it looks easier, but when you see people next to them it looks harder....

There is no way I am driving my truck on that trail:cry:

Great pics! And to think we didn't even mention the "Low Road" section. We'll just keep that between us and the crazy who drove his Interco's thru it.

I don't think you should worry about it especially if you are with two or more other people. Just pitch a tent and pack a gun and sleep tight. I've slept out there where there are lots of boarder jumpers before, they won't bother you.

Also, I usually see them running across right after sun up when they can see where they are going. If my truck could make it through that trail I wouldn't hesitate to come and camp with ya

this is going to be one hell of a run i need a spare birf if anyone has one to lend me or sell me before the trip....? this one section gives you a hundred ways to snap a birf but with a few rocks thrown and some good spotting the trail should be lots of fun......

Doesn't sound like anyone from YotaTech will be camping but I could be wrong. MIkey and I are going to head out on Saturday morning. We'll meet at the Mountain Springs Exit at 9 am. We'll be running it down on Saturday. The camping spot is on this map:

http://www.macamar.com/sitefiles/gal.../Waypoints.htm

#15 is the best spot to camp and would be perfect since we will be finishing up at this point.

I think we could use my buzz-box if the new shock mounts are 3/16 or less. The axle tube should be no more than that as well. Let me know....we could bust that out this/next weekend.

Alright - we're just over a week out. I know Mikey and Mike are heading out for the run but was wondering who else will be joining us?
