Would you have done it?

So today i traded my 89 3.0 (most likely in need of a headgasket and some serious frame work) that had 85000 miles on it for an 88 22re SOLID frame that needs a leaf spring and some body work with 217000 on it...will post pics in the a.m

What do yall think?

depends on other parts of the truck, HG and TC been done too it? how bads the body work? what all works on it (a/c , heat, lights, etc) alot of questions, personally i would have fixed the 3.0 cause then you know whats been done to your motor and with only 85k miles that yota died young.... really young

theres like 2 small holes in the body the rest just needs to be sanded and painted really and i need a door.

At least it will keep you busy. I bought mine with 336,000 on the motor and four flat springs! They're always worth it!

V6 2nd gen single cabs are getting rare these days...

Its all about how you feel about it. I had a guy offer me 8,000 dollars for my 2nd gen 4Runner the other day. granted, I have way more than that into it. But it is tempting to get out of the 3.0 v6. ( but I have many hopes and dreams for this thing and itll get a 3.4 some day and be my ultimate rig. )

It doesn't look too bad, those hole in the bed are great vents/drains at the very least. Just tell people it's a prototype.

wow, sounds like you dodged a bullet than. I don't think I would want to hear about someone I sold my toyota to destroying it though.
