I'm currently searching for a used 5vz fe motor to put into my 92 toyota pickup
I could use some pointers as to where I should go. What is a reasonable price?
Whether a salvage yard, buying online, Craigslist, or if i can still buy these motors brand new, crate, from the dealership.. I'm pretty much on my own for this whole thing, don't really have anyone helping me. so any help is appreciated.

 

I got mine from Craigslist, bought a wrecked 4runner. Salvage yards do not use wrenches to remove engines, they use torches. At least where I'm at. I say try to buy a complete running engine, it might cost more up front but the little stuff you need will add up fast if you buy a bare engine first. My engine only cost 600 after I scraped the body and frame. Good luck with the swap
