used 3.4 235xxx miles

ok guys i have a question. i have been reading about the 3.4 swap for my 92 3.0 auto for a long time. im currently on deployment but was scanning craigslist the other day and was shocked to find this engine. its a 3.4 with 235xxx miles on it. complete engine including alternator, water pump, mechanical fan, ps pump, ac compressor, all belts, exhaust manifold, torque converter, wiring harness and ecu. he says that it ran fine but the frame rotted on his vehicle so he removed it to sell. he only wants $325.00 for everything. so my question, is it worth the risk? i worked out a deal and he will hold it if i pay a deposit of 50% through paypal. thanks for any advice you guys offer.

Might be a good core to start your project with.
235,000 is a lot of miles, even for a Toyota.
In my opinion, nobody in their right mind, who had a high mileage engine like this out on the floor, would reinstall it without a comprehensive overhaul that would include, rings, rod and main bearings, and valve job, at the minimum. Might need to be bored and/or crank ground when you get into it.
The cheap often turns out to be expensive.

thanks man. thats kind of what i figured but if it does need a rebuild, i would rather rebuild the engine i want instead of rebuilding the 3.slow. i just need something to get me through until i have the funds to do either. if it was cheaper to rebuild the 3.0 i would go that route but its not much cheaper considering the gains ill get in hp and gas mileage.
