Looking to buy a Toyota

Possible 1990 Toyota truck purchase..
Hey guys, new to the forum,
I'm looking at a 1990 Toyota pickup 4x4 and just looking to get some feedback on how other truck owners like theirs.. I don't know anything about Toyotas, but have only heard good things about their reliability.
It has a new 22re longblock in it, and a new clutch. 190k on the body, and 3k on the new engine.
Thanks for any insight or advice

Looking to buy a Toyota
I've been looking for an older Tacoma and came across a 2000 4x4 5spd with 270k miles for $4500
Is that way too many miles? For any other truck I would say yes, but it is a Toyota and I've heard that Toyotas run forever... but I don't know much about them.
How many miles have you seen a Tacoma last?

I would say that it all depends on the history of the truck. If it's been taken care of then maybe but you could probably find a better deal. I don't know where your located but around southern california that's not a fantastic deal. If it's a v6 extended cab then maybe but still probably not. If you don't mind the possibility of replacing big ticket items then sure go for it.

Mileage question on 96 Tacoma 3.4L v6
Hey guys, just had a quick question
I'm looking at a 96 Tacoma 4x4 Ext Cab with 220k miles..
I just wanted to know how reliable the v6 engine was and if I can expect some more life out of it? The owner said that he replaced the heads and spark plug wires a few thousand miles ago..
Thanks for any info

I bought a 4runner with 150,000 miles thinking that the motor would be fine. And it is, the only things I've had to replace are a leaking axle seal, new shock and springs, brakes all around, exhaust system, sway bar bushings- the list goes on.
At 220,000 miles there are going to be a lot of maintenance items that need replacing. I would suggest looking around the 120,000 mile club.
I also own a 2000 Tacoma that I bought at 40,000 miles and it has been great. It now has 130,000 miles on it, but I've done the maintenance on it. Look around before you jump in.
