Interstate transaction advice
I need some advice on how to safely do the transaction to an out of state buyer for my 88 4Runner. The buyer is willing to put down a deposit and will pay for shipping the vehicle. Questions:
- What is a fair deposit?
- When should the balance be paid and title transferred? Arizona requires the title to be notarized so I figured I need to sign and notarize it and then fedex it to the buyer (before final payment?)
Buyer is willing to provide bill of sale with deposit. Seems like this takes some trust on both sides.
Thanks!

If you sign over the title before you are paid they own your truck and have no reason to pay you.
