I have a 80 pickup w/ a 20r, the timing chain ate away at the water pump housing and coolant got into my oil, so I'm looking for a reputable shop that is knowledgeable w/ 20r motors that can rebuild it, anyone know of any shops and an estimate of how much I should expect to pay?

be more specific about location, OC???? in oregon that means oregon city, do you mean orange county?? NY or CA???

If you are in OC, I work at Bedard Automotive in Anaheim. We keep up a bunch of 'Runners and old pickups with 20r, 22R, and 22RE's. Anywhere you go, it is going to cost a bit... especially if you want to do any machine work while the engine is apart. Just remember, you get what you pay for, especially in automotive. I've seen some pretty scary workmanship come in our doors from other shops. =/
