I noticed a slight rumble from the rack during a couple freeway runs at 65+. I moved all of the crossbars rearward as far as they go without removing the end pieces and the noise improved considerably. Removing the front bar end pieces and reinstalling further back would probably cure it entirely, but I'll save that experiment for another day. Meanwhile, the small adjustment described made the noise acceptable.
