Please do! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun in Baja.

BTW Did Toyota give you any help in preparation for the Baja?

Thanks.

The show is on again saturday night 1/27. If anyone is interested I can post some shots from the race. Also I have a FJ interior and some exterior if anyone needs parts. The FJ will be back at our shop soon to start prepping for the 500 in June.

Questions for team Necessary

I'll try to answer as many questions as I can remember.
Mods to our FJ - Engine and trans - cold air intake and thats all. we let Toyota do all the math and ran it stock. Its not all about speed its about getting to the end. Straight exhaust from the head. Power steering cooler. Auto trans in and out of 4 high about every 5 minutes. Next 500 were switching to a 5 speed manual. Burned up the auto after landing wrong from a jump, Sheared 3/8 bolts holding battery tray down. Battery cut trans cooler line and spewed most of the fluid out. At the end we only had 3rd gear, no reverse. Race speeds were between 5 and 120 mph. Suspension, big coilovers in front (thats all I want to say) Rear, Tripple bypass and heavy springs. Fuel, 32 gal. fuelsafe in the rear. This gave us much longer range so our pits could be spread out further. We were low on pit support. Next race were going to sink the same fuel cell down 2 feet for lower gravity. Toyota didn't help with money. We did have sponsors from Camburg for suspension,Acro for lighting,Beard for seats, and Long Beach Bailbonds,Biggest sponsor-NecessaryProductions. I'm still digging out of that hole.

WOW! Well thanks for truely testing our vehicle for us. Would really like to try that trek some day in my own FJ. It says a lot about this truck that you actually finished and that impresses me the most. Even more so since it was rolled the day before the race.

And I'm still thinking about the catheter mod...
