Sub woofer

My FJ order got screwed up and it will arrive without the subwoofer. What is a reasonable aftermarket replacement? I want quality but don't want to spend a lot of money that I can use for future mods...

There is a vendor on fjcruiserforums site who is making custom sub boxes with JL subs.
1x10
2x10
1x12
2x12

I may do that in the future.

That will blow away the factory sub.
I may go this route down the road, as my sealed enclosure with my 15" JL W6 will take up to much room.

Of course you loose the nice cargo stash area behind the sub, and I will loose my Maglite mount too.

i had the runner all muddy and decided to go and show it off at the dealer! attracts alot of attention by the way. i drove a blue fj cause the saleman wanted to get off the lot. he knew i wasnt going to buy it but i wanted to see what it was all about. the factory sub was garbage imho.

thats a sweet set up with the jl subs. looks sweet, i only wodner if it rattles a bit of the paneling behind it. i guess you couldnt hear it though!

I pulled mine and sold it on Ebay. It takes up a lot of space back there- are you sure you really need one?

JL audio subs are the only ones I buy. I have gone through many of them, mainly b/c I changed sizes.

Get some dynomat and do the whole rig, really puts a damper on the rattling
