thats pretty crazy, what an interesting way to destroy a prototype vehicle. am i the only one who hates how you can't post a single picture on the internet without people accusing it of being photoshopped? people are acting like experts talking about the paint around the rear tail light being goin and the tail light being untouched. has science not taught us that outcomes are often unpredictable?

I hate those people too.....but....I hate to say it.... it almost does look photoshopped. could be hard to burn that FJ so completely, and not bust a tire?
Oh well....horrible way to destroy one, in any case.

Makes aboslutely no sense, why wouldn't they just crush it and spare all the embarrasment. There's more to this story that's not being told. Why would the prototype have numbers spray painted on the sides before burning?

Heat rises quickly hence the parts that are lower would not melt or burn necassarily.
I think Toyota gave permission for this shop to destroy it the way they wanted to so 4wheeling the piss out of it than burning it probably was kinda fun.
Why would you paint numbers on it after it was burned? I'm sure the numbers were for identifying it as expendable.

There's an interesting irony in play here... when digital photo editing came to be, most people couldn't tell the difference and almost every outlandish photo was taken at face value. Now people have become more skeptical and suddenly every photo, retouched or not, has someone claiming it has been manipulated. Most often the "experts" making the call, have no personal photo manipulation or forensics experience to call upon.
Isn't that what the internet is for? To give us all online personas where everyone can be an expert in everything? The world doesn't need ditch diggers anymore...
