well the body shop called me today, apparently , the fj crusier isnt even in thier system yet to do the quick easy estiamte , so the guy has to do it by hand by calling the toyota parts dealership, lol, hes gonna earn his money on this one.
yeah i called the insurance company about having the winch bumper installed instead of the stock one , or not even ordering the stock one , and having myself installing the new bumper, but its a no go , it must be returned to me in pre accident condition. so no biggie.
but i will be making $10 a day on a rental car, since ill be borrowing my buddies rig while its in the shop, and since im not using their rental car , they give me $10 a day. shh , dont tell my buddy LOL.

you know i was going to ask where the heck you are from that you hit a llama , but then i saw you were from siletz, and it answered all my questions LOL

so needless to say , my new trd exhaust, new winch bumper and lift kit , along with my a trac button , will be sitting in my shop until its all fixed. then it will be a hard core install day ( or two) in the shop putting on all my goodies.

if anyone hears of anyone needing a new fj bumper , have them get ahold of me , ill make them a smoking deal.

ps- i drove by the hit and run accident( lol , get it LOL) well it didnt run far. she didnt go to ofar, it was too dark to see the night of the dreaded accident.

speaking of dark, anyone come up with a good place to do a flashlight mount near the driver?
i didnt have my flashlight with me that night and now i want to find a good place to mount one.

Not without drilling into the side of the console.
That is why I put my Maglite way back aft.
I have some pics of it on my mods page.

since i never did update this with total damage price and all and someone on another post asked about it , ill let you know now ,
$2144.37

took 10 days total , had to order more parts after it was disassembled.
insurance covered it all, and had no hassles what so ever.

You got lucky! Glad you're okay and the truck doesn't look that bad.

Here's what our 2 week old Yaris looked like after we hit a deer at 45.

$7,000 later it was fixed. Thank God for insurance!

Man that sucks but the deer shouldn't be blamed. We are encroaching on their territory.

Dang...
That was at 45?
I hit a deer at the same speed in moms lexus...
Maybe cause I was actually slowing down in the process that I spared the car...
But wow...
