JD, I think you will love it. Had they put out the FJ's with body-mathced roofs, you wouldn't even have thought that.

Thanks very much for the feedback, guys- I really think it's just a matter of seeing the thing live.

By the way Nate- it was either in this forum or another than you talked about trying to figure out if the TRDs are individually numbered. It looks like you're not the only one who focused on that 3-digit number under the VIN. There's one on Ebay right now that the seller claims is #924 (or somewhere around there). He includes a picutre of the sticker with the VIN and the number underneath. If I'm correct though, someone else pointed out the 3-digit number is in fact not unique to the TRDs- all FJs seem to have it.

Thanks again- can't wait for mine!

Yes, you are correct! That number has nothing to do with the SE.

I did a lil' research here:
http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...yota-corp.html

Do you have a link to the ebay sale SE?

!@#$% YEAH! Mine came in yesterday and you guys were right- the thing is downright gorgeous! Drives like dream too- I had heard that some did not like the exhaust tone, but I think it's great. Also, not to take anything away from those with autos, but the quickshifter takes it to a whole different level of fun. The knob is the size of a pool ball (and feels like one too) and the short throw feels more like a sportscar than an SUV.

The only major downside so far has been the same thing everyone complains about- visibility. The blind spots on the thing are quite astounding. The other thing that shocked me was the horn- the first time I hit it, I half-expected one of those bullhorns you hear at a hockey game. What came out instead sounded more like something that should come from my son's tricycle.

Oh well, ya can't win em all. Did anyone else get the stick? Thoughts???

Jeep, see either my personal website in the FJC Mods section, or in the FJ section here in my mods thread.
I have the cure for your horn.

I LOVE the exaust tone myself.

Congrats on getting a stick! Those are very rare indeed. You are a lucky man.

The main thing I like about my SE is the suspension. The ride is soooo plush and smooth. Even when hitting old desert dirt roads with lots of 'washboarding'... the tuned TRD suspension just soaks it up making for a great ride.
