Air filter change in FJC, way to easy
I am going with Bob's (BT17R) recommendation and running two air filters.
One for the street, one for off road.
Since it can be very dusty at times up where I go, the filter can get pretty dirty.
I will run the original one for off roading only, and it should last for eons.
I just put in a brand new one and will cycle it out when it gets so many miles on it.
Have to look up that info still.
This has got to be the easiest air filter I have ever changed in my life.
There are two clips on the front of the air box.
Just release those, and the back of the filter housing is hinged and pulls out.

The filter then pulls out of the housing, and you just reverse the procedure to put the housing back.
There is even a pre-filter in front of the main filter.
Will have to look into if that gets replaced too.

I have seen a lot of air filter setups in my day, but this is really the easiest I have ever seen next to round chrome top Moroso job I use to run on my '68 327 Chevelle.

as easy as that one looks, i still think the 3rd gen 3.4 is the easiest filter to change ever! but i know that must be a world of difference from the 3.0 filter. man those metal tabs on the 3.0 filter always hit me right on the base of the fingernail..enjoy the hassle free life.
