2009 FJ Cruiser died in the driveway. I checked everything you would normally check. I sprayed starting fluid into the intake port and it acted like it wanted to start. I'm thinking no fuel. I listen for the fuel pump and don't hear a thing. I change the fuel pump. Still doesn't work. I also have a 2013 FJ Cruiser and have cross referenced relays, voltages, ohm output. The plug on the fuel pump has 4 pins. 2 pins are grounds and 2 pins have power. The 2009 has power to only 1 pin. I jumped 12V back to that pin and I could here fuel coming to the engine but it still wouldn't start. Gave me the same "short boom" of starting that the starting fluid did. Checked relay's and the fuel pump resistor and bypassed both. Nothing, nada, zip. I want to pour gasoline all over the car and burn it.
