The drag link (steering box to flat top knuckle steering arm) was 4ft center to center for me. I dont know the measurement for the tie rod but any gm 10 bolt or chevy dana44 tie rod will work just fine

Yup just as strong. But there are pros and cons. Like there are more aftermarket accesories for the dana44 like diff covers, gears, lockers. But the gm10 bolt is a little more common and are easier to find axleshafts. Atleast in my area it is. If you can find a dana 44 id go with that.

Steering: i run a stock tie rod and for the drag link set up i got a flat top knuckle with a 2-1/2 rise steering arm to go on it (i purchased that from shakerbuilt.com). Then to finish it off frontrangeoffroad hooked me up with 1 ton chevy rod end along with a pitman arm to fit the chevy 1 ton rod ends.

And as for the "pump" im assuming your talking about the power steering. The 3.4 power steerings ok but its certainly not the worst. You WILL have to brace your frame though if your running 35"+ tires.

Okay guys it has been a while but i figured its time to give ya'll a t100 update!

Since then i have done the following:

*TRD supercharger with URD's 7th injector

*swapped out the stock rear axle

*swapped out the front dana 44 axle

*blew up the 5vz

(All happened in that order)😁

Currently in the middle of an engine swap😎. But for now ill just go over the stuff i just mentioned above.

I had an itch for power after the SAS and the 3.4 wasnt satisfying my need. I then hunted down a supercharger and ended up getting a 1st gen. (grey) supercharger for cheap. I rebuilt the nose and replaced the bearings that supported the rotors. I bought URD's 7th injector kit and it was plug and play. Yup that easy to install! Power was awesome compared to not having a boosted 3.4, suddenly i didnt have to down shift going up hills. The torque was awesome.

After adding the supercharger i found myself beating the piss out of it everywhere i drove the thing. Did good 1st and 2nd gear bakers too😉.
But with adding all that power i kept blowing up my stock 8.4 diff. After blowing up three diffs i was fed up with it and bought an 80 series 9.5 full float rear axle to swap in. I added 1.25 wheel spacers to get the width i needed and did 5.29 gears with a detroit locker. I was already in the middle of building another front axle to swap in place of the dana44 and knew id be going with 5.29s anyways so it kinda worked out instead of buying 4.88 to match the ˟˟˟˟ty dana44.

Speaking of the dreaded dana 44 front axle🙄.....i was sooooo tired of snapping axle shafts, u joints, going threw wheel bearings, trying to hunt down axle shafts for a gm dana44 (god damn near extinct), and the fact that i was stuck at the gear ratio 4.88 which sucked! (the highest common ratio between domestic and yota axles is 4.88). Finally just said F-it and spent the money for a custom diamond axle. Probably the best money ive ever spent to date on the truck and dont regret it at all! I wanted something strong as hell but still remain 6 lug. With tons of research and money this is the front axle i ended up with:

Brian made me a full width housing with a 9.5 LC center section and 80 series LC outter knuckles to top it off, i even had him add gussets to the knuckles. He also include some nice chromoly inner axle shafts. I then bought hellfire fab's steering knuckles to keep the steering nice and tucked away and an 80 series 9.5 third member paired with 5.29 gears and a detroit locker to match the rear😁

2 years later of hard wheelin the 5vz finally let go. Held up great with 80,000 miles of rev limiter! Right now im in the middle of swapping in a 2jz so stay tuned!

Also, can somebody move this thread to the t100 build section. Thanks!
