Totaled my 1996 Toyota T100
As the title states I totaled it. Only had it 3 Months! I was in a ten car pile up Nov 28th. BAD LUCK. Nothing I could have done. Anyway, what do you think the insurance will pay out? Totaled for sure, and airbag blew. It was SUPER CLEAN and i am very sad to see it off the road. It was perfect. It was that rare tropical blue color and had 170k miles 4x4 ext cab auto.
I had just done the following to it within two weeks before the wreck.
Bilstein Shocks. Stabilizer shock. Sway bar end links. New front bumper. Cd Player. New hard license plates on the 21st
What you think the payout would be in Colorado? These are hard to find in good shape or in any shape really around here. I found this one at a dealer.
I will post pictures when I can.

Dec. 28th huh?
Were you going 88 miles per hour?
Every insurance company is different as to what they will pay, but a 97 should fetch you 5k or so. As for the new parts, they won't likely care as they consider them "regular maintinence" parts

Wait let me get this straight...I have all these plans for my truck and what I am going to do to it after i get back from deployment and if some idiot gets me into a pileup after i have done susp lift, big tires, winch, re-gear, etc etc. I will probably only get 2 grand for it since its an '88????? AAAAAAHHH!!!!

Wow, that is truly bad news, sorry to hear this. I've only owned my '97 T100 4x4 Ext cab for a couple of months- bought it on ebay for $6700 with 143,000 miles....nearly mint, I've added timing belt/water pump and cv boots/front axles. Your accident makes me want to drive really careful now. Hope your insurance company treats you fair considering these trucks are so awesome- nothing else I've seen before or since comes close.

Well my dad always told me to get good money outta the insurance company espescially with older trucks like ours, print out a bunch of ads for similar trucks...near same mileage,~ same year, things like that, probably from Craigslist, show them what the trucks are really going for, instead of what the stupid book says so they dont try and lowball you

yeah the ones I found were from $6800 to 9000 for siimilar trucks. I paid $6k for mine but it was a steal I waited for. Sold the same day the dealer posted it for sale, with back up offers. So I would assume i should get at least that? luckily I had taken my color matched tinted topper off the day before to move a piano!
