I never weighed it on a DOT scale, no place around to do it actually. But according to my manual if I recall its about 4,000 lbs.

The truck is pretty fast with the ISR removed and a deckplate.

meh I just spent about 30 minutes goofing around on car point and cant find any information pertaining to curb weights on those trucks. The few google searches ive done on the subject said the T100 checked in as the same weight as a toyota pickup....which was 3450 lbs or some such thing. The same site said a 95 runner would weigh 3800, my 90 tips the scales at 4980...lol

CJM - There isnt a dump near you thatll let you drive across the scales?

I think some of you are confusing total gross vehicle weight with curb weight since there's no way a 2nd gen Runner weighs more than a 3rd gen which tips the scales at just over 4000lbs. New Runners weigh in at almost 4500 so there's no weigh (sic) a '90 weighs over 4000lbs.

Gross vehicle weight is the total weight with the vehicle at maximum load capacity which includes passengers and cargo thus confusing you guys with curb weight.

I know the difference... you would be suprised how heavy they really are...

My 95 tipped the scales at 5150 one trip... thats with 4 33" TSL's, and my usuall wheeling stuff in the bed... it was HEAVY!!!! Figure with normal non bias tires and an empty cargo area I was about 4800 ish... Not a light rig... GVWR is what 5200 on most of these rigs?

Negativo - took my 4runner across the dump's scales. 4980, me (180lbs), 3/4 tank of gas, and the ludicris sound system...lol

I just checked 4 sites on curb weight and called my friend with his '95 that he weighed at the drag strip scale and in stock trim it's about 3800lbs. A 2nd gen cannot weigh more than a larger 3rd and 4th gens. If they did I like to know where the weight is coming from sicne 2nd gens have no airbags,;ess computer associated parts,no locker or traction control, etc.

A new H3 weighs in at 4700lbs and there's no way your 2nd gen weighs that period. An Escalade weighs in at 5700lbs and no 2nd gen only weighs 1000lbs less.

I'm talking stock trim here and I don't see how you can argue with the proof on the net when all these sites state under 4000lbs.

Curb weight is also dry weight and no "ludicrous" sound systems.

My T100 was much like your color CJM, 5 speed, 31 mudders and the chrome wheels. (did I also say I miss it?) I checked it one time at a grain elevator scale and it was like 42-4300 with a pretty full tank - not much else. The 1996 Extracab V6 4x4 was supposed to be something like 4050 dry.

Only one 2 towns over and you need a valid DL for that town to do it. If I had to guesstimate to the gross weight I would say its probably around 4800+lbs fully loaded. I know for a fact gas weighs in about 6.5lbs per gallon so thats 150lbs, add the rest of the fluids lets say thats 75lbs (oil, coolant, trans or gear oil, diff oil, etc) then add you into the mix at lets say 170-220lbs thats another 400-500lbs of weight. Then throw on 31" tires, maybe a cap or box and yea its entirely possible to weight in near 5,00lbs.
