Hey. This is my first post, I've just bought a t100 with 2.7l 5speed 254k regcab lngbed, for $900 and it has a issue. Diag block won't get any communication from obd1 under hood (doesn't have a obd2). I haven't ran through the ecm yet to make sure it had good power and ground. It will also fall over at about 1500 rpms. If you press the gas more than ~20% then it will stall itself out. Any ideas? Its sitting at my shop and I'll give some more details when I get there later on today


BTW I got into yotas by a 86 4runner that got wrecked on i95 loved it and I even bought it back from the insurance company for a nice trail truck.(336k a340h 22re locked front and rear diff)

 

What year is yer T-100? I'm guessing 1994?

Post up some piccies of the engine bay. Maybe they installed a newer 3rz-fe engine in there?

 

Its a 1995 and I'll correct myself it does have a obd2 port but won't send communications through either. Power and ground are good on ecu and I can illuminate the cel with the violet ground wire off the computer. I'm thinking dead ecu

Edit: also to be noted all the data lines have continuity from ecu to ports

 

Ecu was dead. Put a new one in got a cell and it ran and still runs like 1million bucks.
