Just bought a 96 T-100, and I love it! I noticed the cruise control was flaky, the RPMs fluctuate rapidly, and it tends to creep up on the speed it's holding. I did a Google search, and came up with a recall for the speed control.

I know it's 14 years later, but will Toyota still honor this recall?

That would have been too easy! When I posted that, the dealers weren't open for the day yet, and I was impatient in getting an answer. I have called since, and they stated there are no open recalls for my VIN, so the service tech assumed the work was already done. Doesn't help me get it fixed unfortunately.

 

I am guessing your VIN wasn't qualified for the recall. They should be able to tell you if the steering rod link was replaced or not. I believe that recall was on all T's.
