Load Sensing Valve/Brake ?
I installed an Add-A-Leaf for about 1.5-2" to my 97' T-100. I have been chasing brake problems and discovered that my rear brakes do not provide much braking power. I have totally blead the system and have new shoes/drums/rotors/pads. NO AIR IN SYSTEM. Could the fact I lifted the truck and "extended" the distance of the rod connecting the LSPV to the shackle/axle housing cause me to have less brake pressure??? Does my LSPV now think there is no load on vehicle so it has decreased pressure to my rear brakes???
Please help me out, and if you know which way to adjust shackle length to correct this problem.

I ended up just cutting the rod somewhere in the middle of it and zip tied it up to the valve.
Free. Don't need to fabricate anything like the extension mount people are talking about. Won't have to re-bleed the brakes if you're thinking about replacing the LSPV with a manual valve. Gives maximum braking power to the rear.
If the rear starts locking up too soon, loosen the zip tie and lower the rod slightly. It's almost like adjusting a manual valve.

Or you could just grab the extension bracket and call it a day. Having it properly adjusted will keep those rear brakes lasting and doing their job. I still have the original shoes one the rear of mine, and they brakes work great. Here's the bracket I have on my truck. It's the smaller of the two. Nice thing is you can fine tune it to however you want.

Thanks, so far I have removed the existing bracket from axle housing and moved it up put bottom hole on bracket in top hole of mount and only used one bolt and made a small tack weld also. Moved it up 1 inch. Also I had about 3/4 inch adjustment on the shackle rod threads so I moved it up all I could. Seems better already. I will monitor it and if it needs more adjustment I will cut rod and weld in a 2 inch piece to extend it
