My friend has 97 T100. I have 97 4runner. I just upgraded my headlight assemblies to 2001 4runner. 4runner lights are glass, T100 lights are plastic. He complains about the dull plastic all the time and looking for a longterm solution (not just doing the sanding method).

Has anyone installed (or tried to and know for certain it does not work and why) 4runner lights onto T100?

I have been trying to find that out. Saw on an Ebay ad where someone had lights cross-referenced between these two vehicles so got me thinking there might be a possibility. Don't know if plug 'n play or, need to make a snip here and there kinda thing.

My friend and I live few hours apart or else I would just try for myself.

Any first-hand information would greatly be appreciated!!
