Brake/Cruise/Idle Issues

Brake/Cruise/Idle Issues
Hello everyone! I’ve been a long time stalker of this forum and until now, have not needed to make a post of my own.
Anywho the primary issue(s) I’m having with my 96 T100 DX 4wd 3.4 auto is that:
1. When headlights are turned on, cruise kicks off(light on dash stays on but cruise won’t engage) but with lights off, cruise works fine.
2. When headlights are turned on, idle increases by 400ish rpm but speed stays the same.
3. With truck off or lights off, if brake is pressed, dash lights and radio light comes on.
4. Been having terrible fuel economy (12.5ish MPG) (separate issue)
Also worth noting that previous owner lost OEM key so rewired ignition on 2 household light switches and a push button. (Still trying to figure out that mess) and my heater blower motor is on its own switch.
On top of everything, I have little to no experience trouble shooting electrical issues but am trying to teach myself the basics and hoping you all can lead me to where to start to diagnosing this issue.
Steps taken so far:
After looking at prior posts regarding issue #1, I removed the trailer harness that previous owner installed but problem still persists.
Checked taillight sockets for corrosion and none looked bad but didn’t have a tester to verify.
Found taillight wiring schematics online and looked at them intently
Pulled hairs out of head
This is my first time posting so I apologize if my write-up is bad and I ask for mercy and grace if I have missed obvious steps in troubleshooting or anything else.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: redid some connections in the tail light harness and that solved the 1 + 3 issues
