i have a 1997 toyota t100 with the 3.4l v6. recently the HG failed do to overheating, i put a HG set on it and three weeks later a loud knock was coming from the motor. i took it to the mechanic and he said it was a broken rod and that i would need a new engine. i called jasper and they wanted 3500 for one of there engines. no junk yards have any of these motors. does anyone have any suggestions as to where i could get a reliable motor from?

look at a jdm (japanese domestic market) engine on e-bay. or a nationwide salvage yard hot sheet.

has any one had any experience with these JDM motors? they do not post allot of info like how many miles and what it came out of exc.
