3.0 to 3.4 swap help....

Alright, the end is in sight for my 3.4 swap into a 93 T100, but I have a few questions I am hoping someone can help me with...

There is a grey colored plug attached with the positive battery cable that I assumes plugs into the 3.4 fuse box (the one under the hood near the battery) which has a wire within it that activates the starter. I am using the old 3.0 fuse box which is directly wired to the battery (as it was when the 3.0 was hooked up), so how do I connect this grey plug? Does the grey plug in fact connect with the 3.4 fuse box? Do I hard wire it to the 3.0 box, to the battery or something else?

Plus, on the truck itself there are two vacuum outlets/inlets (located near the bottom right of the radiator) that are connected to what I believe is a power steering line that runs to a control box on the passenger side of the engine bay. On the old 3.0 one tube connected to a vacuum hose comming from the top front of the motor and I think the other went to the air box. I cannot figure out what from the 3.4 would connect to these two vacuum tubes. Do I need these? What are they for?

Any advise is greatly appreciated.
