Wiper Motor Troubleshooting

I want to test my wiper motor as it just stopped working. There is a 4 pin connector and wanted to know what to test with my multimeter or which pins to jump with 12 volts to test.

I think I might have caused this in one of two ways:

1) I grounded an 80 amp circuit ( maybe running 40-50 amps) to one of the mounting bolts for the wiper motor. Not sure if I messed up it's ground?

2) I have the wiper arms off and accidentally had the wipers on for at least 24 hours. But now that I think about it, the motor doesn't work with the car off, does it?

The washer still works and the 15 amp fuse that controls both is working.

Thanks!!!
